“A Moveable Feast” Xiamen-Nice International Carnival 2017
Carnaval de Nice is one the world’s largest and most famous carnival, held every February in Nice. This year, tourists can experience the original French charm and feature without having to fly to Nice. Xiamen-Nice International Carnival will hold its grand opening ceremony on the evening of May 11th. The 150-year history French Carnaval de Nice will be celebrated in Xiamen for the first time in history.
“A Moveable Feast”comes from Hemingway’s representative novel which recorded his life in Paris as a reporter. As time flows,”Paris is a moveable feast” has become the cultural name card of the city. Xiamen-Nice International Carnival uses”A Moveable Feast”as the name, hoping to catch up with the pace of the predecessors. The combination of fashion events, street art, opera, dance and music feast and other art mediums will create a colorful cultural feast in Xiamen.

Preparations for Xiamen-Nice Carnival is currently underway (Apr.30,2017)
With the opening ceremony for Xiamen-Nice International Carnival less than 15 days away, in order to present the extraordinary feast to the Chinese spectators, Nice carnavaliers and Xiamen staff work hard on site to reconstruct the floats for the Carnival to be held on time despite continuous rainfall and other difficulties.
